About Eboni G. Price, MD, MPH
I received my Medical Degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (1999) and Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (2004). I completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Baylor College of Medicine (2002) and a 3-year fellowship in medical education and research at Johns Hopkins (2005). I have experience and expertise in health services research, cultural competence, provider-patient communication, health literacy, disease risk reduction, patient-centered medical home (PCMH) models of care, and use of health information technology to optimize care. I have 10+ years of experience in population health management, health administration and health service delivery re-design. I am the former Chief Medical Officer for the Tulane Community Health Centers and Tulane Office of Community Affairs and Health Policy (2005-2014) and former Associate Program Director for Ambulatory Training in Internal Medicine (2005-2008). In 2014, I joined Ochsner Health System as the Director of the Center for Applied Health Services Research - a system-wide research center whose goal is to accelerate discovery of new knowledge concerning clinical and cost effectiveness of health care delivery innovations, translate research into practice and disseminate research findings to improve clinical, administrative and policy decision making. I work collaboratively with Ochsner’s corporate and operations units to design and evaluate population health management strategies. I am also Director of Ochsner’s Primary Care Research Network and the Patient Research Advisory Board. For more information please visit https://research.ochsner.org/applied-health.
