About Donald M. Miller, MD, PhD
Dr. Donald Miller is a translational physician-scientist at the University of Louisville. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Duke University and completed residency in Internal Medicine at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He was a Clinical Associate at the National Heart Lung Blood Institute and a Senior Staff Associate at the National Cancer Institute before joining the faculty at the University of Michigan in 1979. Since that time he has been on the faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Louisville. He is currently the James Graham Brown Chair of Oncology. He has been a member and chair of several VA and NIH Study Sections. He is a member of the Association of American Physicians.
He has been a member of the Southern Society of Clinical Investigation since 1986 and has served various roles within the organization, such as Councilor, Treasurer and President. Dr. Miller was honored with the Founders' Medal Award in 1995 and serves as section editor, since 1995, for The American Journal of the Medical Sciences.
