About Ashwani K. Singal, MD, MS
Dr. Singal joined the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the Department of Medicine at the UAB, after completing Masters in Clinical Research from UTMB Galveston TX, and AASLD sponsored advanced fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. Dr. Singal is currently Associate professor, active in the Faculty practice with clinical and translational research interests of steatohepatitis (due to alcohol use as well as due to non-alcohol fatty liver disease), simultaneous liver-kidney transplantation, and porphyria cutanea tarda.
