This pilot program is the result of a collaboration between the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation (SSCI) and the Southern AFMR. The program is designed to provide junior faculty ready access to senior faculty outside of their own institutions for mentoring and career guidance. This site will assist junior faculty in finding advisors in their area of interest. Members of SSCI and AFMR at the Associate Professor level or above have agreed to post their brief bios on the site. Junior faculty may choose one or more of these volunteers to set up a mutually agreeable time and place for a meeting during the Southern Regional Meeting held February 12-14, 2009 in New Orleans.
The Southern Regional Meetings will be returning home to New Orleans for the 2009 meeting! The meeting dates are February 12-14, 2009 and will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel. We would like to thank Atlanta and the Hilton Atlanta for hosting our 2007 meeting but returning to New Orleans is very important to the Southern Regional Societies.
